Equipment

Ingredients

1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 270g, $2.92
1 Tbsp salted butter $0.12
½ cup marshmallow creme 60g, $0.43
14 graham crackers 12 whole and 2 crushed, $1.20*
½ cup mini marshmallows 40g, $0.16
¼ tsp kosher salt $0.03**

Instructions

In a small saucepan, bring 1–2 inches of water to a simmer. Place a heatproof bowl (stainless steel or glass) over the saucepan without letting it touch the water. Add the chocolate chips and butter, stirring until smooth and fully melted (about 3–5 minutes).***
Line your sheet pan with parchment paper. Lay out the 12 whole graham crackers side by side to cover the pan.
Pour the melted chocolate over the graham crackers and spread it evenly to coat.
Dollop the marshmallow creme over the chocolate and use a knife or toothpick to gently swirl it in.
Sprinkle the mini marshmallows and crushed graham crackers on top, then finish with a sprinkle of salt.
Freeze for at least 2 hours until firm. Once set, break into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

*Graham crackers are common in the U.S. and measure about 5" x 2.5". If you’re outside the U.S., you can use a similar biscuit, like digestives—break or trim them to cover your sheet pan.

**Kosher salt adds a nice pop that ties everything together, but flaky sea salt works too.

***The double boiler method helps gently melt chocolate without seizing. Make sure the water doesn’t touch the bottom of your bowl—the steam does the work!
